Residence
Pittman, NJ

This residence is built on a heavily wooded hilltop. The house is oriented on a north/south axis, with the garage and kitchen wing forming an east/west “L.” Major living spaces face south and west, to take advantage of privacy and primary views. The design employs the use of low and varied roof lines, overhangs, stepping dormers, and seemingly random window placement, giving the facade a certain informal quality, which mitigates its large size. Recipient, Phila Chapter AIA Honor Award, 1994.
